Analysis of Existing Data
Instructional Data Solutions supports school systems and education organizations in analyzing existing data by evaluating data sets, big and small, to identify key trends and tease out the underlying factors contributing to positive and negative outcomes.
The Cohort Achievement Tracker collates student demographic and achievement data to analyze impact across school years. Data can be viewed for individual students (Master Data tab) or in summary (Analysis tab) for cohorts over time. Additionally, student goals will project an Assessment Index and Progress Index on the Analysis tab which can be analyzed for subgroup trends by grade or demographics.
Data Stepbacks
IDS provides in-person and virtual services to support educators in leveraging data for impactful decision-making. Throughout the year, our team works closely with school and district leaders to investigate data, identify priority areas, and develop actionable plans to improve student outcomes. Before each meeting, IDS conducts a comprehensive analysis of the school’s collected data to uncover key trends and areas of highest impact. During the session, we present these findings, guide collaborative data exploration, and facilitate the creation of targeted instructional strategies to address identified needs.
This workbook creates individualized LEAP files for each teacher, including only data for the teacher's current students. The blue Output tab shows a list of all teachers and provides a link to the created files for either 3-8 results (sample) or high school results (sample). Each teacher's file contains LEAP results for each test taken the prior year by their students, the number of points students are away from the next achievement level / mastery, subgroup performance for each test, as well as a simple summary dashboard space to enable a quick view of trends.
